The Chinook Indians were very image conscious, their clothes were ornate, and they kept their hair, which was reddish in color matted down in order to achieve a sloped-forehead appearance; a trait of beauty in the Chinook world. There are very few pictures of Chinook Indians available, but you may want to visit this site which features Chinook and Wisham Indian pictures and a fair bit of history.
